The University is fully accredited at the IV level and trains teaching staff for multi- system baccalaureate, specialist, magisterium. The main objective of the University is to train qualified professionals to manage the education system of the South region with teachers, educators, psychologists and others. The key to the effectiveness of this work is its research and teaching potential, traditions, as well as updating and introducing advanced teaching technologies. The structure of the university includes: Institute of education and research of physical culture, sports and rehabilitation, faculty of graphics, faculty of music and dance, faculty of physics and mathematics, faculty of foreign languages, faculty of philology, faculty of primary education, faculty of preschool education and faculty of psychology, social, humanitarian, historical and philosophical departments; there is a preparatory department and a faculty of postgraduate education of Odesa Pedagogical College; Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Pedagogical School; Balta ordinary school; Odesa School of Professional Services, Balta and Kremenchug Training and Consulting Centers; Sevastopol Training and Consulting Center, Methodological Center for Artistic and Aesthetic Education of Children and Youth; more than 40 secondary schools, kindergartens in the region. They form educational complex and make it experimental terrain. The university has a strategic plan that provides for the optimization of research topics to address pressing issues related to the training of a modern teacher, the opening of new academic councils with the right to defend a dissertation for a doctorate degree. University has passed the certification for scientific and technological activities and received the highest level of category “A” and it is recognized as the best in this field of pedagogical universities of Ukraine.
